Jo Darmon is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, and is an active teacher and freelancer in the Kansas City area. Jo also holds degrees in oboe performance and music education from the University of North Texas, where she also worked for several years as an undergraduate academic advisor.
As a Fort Worth native, Jo has an extensive background teaching lessons and oboe classes across DFW. She was principal oboist of the Lone Star Wind Orchestra, a former member of Waco鈥檚 Jubilee Woodwind Quintet, and has performed with such ensembles as the McKinney Philharmonic, the New Texas Sinfonia, and the Brazos Chamber Orchestra. Since moving to Kansas City, she has also performed with the Kansas City Symphony, the Sedalia Symphony, and the Kinnor Philharmonic.
